Rocket Launches

2010 Schedule:
The last Sunday of every month, April through August
(Weather Permitting)
3.00pm AT THE MARITIME MUSEUM

Download video of the RLM in flight!

The RLM*, shown in flight, above, is the second-largest civilian rocket ever launched in Ireland.

*RLM stands for "Ridiculously Large Missile". We've built a flown a larger one since this picture was taken. It's called the BFM, shown below.

Big Fat Missile

Want to build and launch your own rocket?

Our monthly launches of rockets, both small and large, are great spectator events and everyone's welcome to turn up at our launches to watch for free. If that's all you're interested in, stop reading here and turn up for the craic on the last Sunday of each summer month.

But, if you want to get serious, learn some real "rocket science" and (pardon our pun) have a blast, check out our "fly-it-the-day-you-build-it" Rocket Workshops!

Learn more about Car Safety in a fun way!

Can you build a safety restraint system that will allow a model car to ram a brick wall while carrying an egg, yet not break the egg?

Want to see what it's like to be a real, live Crash Test Dummy?
